Peter has been leading retreats and teaching classes in Quakerism, Bible and spirituality for twenty years.
Middletown Monthly Meeting has recognized Peter's spiritual gift as a religion teacher in a Letter about Peter's teaching .
Quakerism 101 is an introduction to Quakerism. The six classes are on early Quaker history, the Inward Light, Meeting for Worship, Meeting for Business, Quaker testimonies & the meeting as a community.
This Is Our Testimony to the World ("Quakerism 201") is a course in the Quaker testimonies of integrity, simplicity, equality, peace and stewardship of the earth. It focuses especially on how each social testimony springs from central facets of Quaker faith.
Gospel Order offers a more advanced exploration of issues that many meetings wrestle with in the "beloved community" of the meeting family. Topics include ways of deepening the spirit-led vocal ministry, experiencing business meeting as worship, encouraging the spiritual gifts of members and engaging each other lovingly in mutual spiritual accountability.
Primary readings for all three of the courses above are the excerpts in Faith & Practice, the Book of Discipline of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting.

Easthampton MA Fri. Feb. 3rd - The Mic @ The Delaney House - Annie's 3-part harmony group, The Harmony Grits, will perform 7-11pm, Mary Witt, Dan Zuckergood, and Annie Patterson (guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass - Americana & Folk music)

New York NY, Sat. May 5 - People's Voice Cafe, Community Church of NY, 40 E. 35th St (betw Madison & Park), 7pm. Annie & Peter will lead a sing along and Four Shillings Short is also on the bill this evening. 212-787-3903. Kingston RI, Fri. July 6 - We will be taking part in another performance of "The Fire & the Hammer" - which Peter organized & we both took part in at New England Yearly Meeting last August. The final evening plenary of the 2012 Friends General Conference summer gathering. Detailed information on the performance & applying to join the choir will be posted later on the FGC website.
