Petition to Nominate Pete for Nobel Peace Prize
There is a petition circulating on the web to urge the American Friends Service Committee to nominate Pete for the Nobel Prize in Peace. You can find out more about this campaign or sign the petition by clicking on one of two websites below promoting this campaign. Who can question the enormous contribution Pete has made to world peace over the last 50+ years?!
This is an hour long interview you can listen to online.
If you love Pete as much as we do, check out this wonderful website run by Jim Capaldi in Springfield PA. It's been up over 10 years and is chocked full of articles, quotes about Pete, chat groups, even a video of Bruce Springsteen performing "Bring 'Em Home" in Paris!
Pete Seeger recorded dozens of LPs for Folkways in the 1950s and 1960s. All of these old out of print LPs are now available as custom CDs from Smithsonian Folkways. The original liner notes can also be downloaded.
Much of his material has been re-issued on about a dozen regular CDs. All of these CDs can also be ordered from us on this Quakersong website.
